Fuel doors
What year or models did the fuel doors show up. My buddy tells me his 78 has the exposed cap, I told him it should have a fuel door. Thanks!

78 but I'm sure there where some that got out of the factory with the old cap. Gm is bad for that ie 65 impala ss with a 409.

79 was the first year for the fuel door. It does make a big difference. I changed the bedside on my 77 to an 84 with the door and it looks a whole lot cleaner.
