Painted my tailgate
Picked up this tailgate last week from burnlove. I got it so I can practice using my new Roth flake gun. Before I actually spray the roof of my truck.
When I got it [IMG][/IMG] Posted via Mobile Device Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: Painted my tailgate
Looks great hopped up! About 100 times better than when I sold it to you. Great idea for a headboard too.

Re: Painted my tailgate
Very cool. I just did my roof and dash. Used Little Daddy Roth "ruined retina red" flake, .015 and .025 over GM code 72 base. Shot it in a regular HVLP gun in suspension in the clear... then buried it in more clear.

Re: Painted my tailgate
Fluorescent lights help it pop, that's for sure, it looked REAL good at World of Wheels a week ago ... Lots o' lights. Don't be shy with putting the flake on, you can always bury it in clear, sand it, then clear again. I've got a fly buried in my clear it's so deep. The Roth flake is nice, it lays down real easy, very forgiving. There's no such thing as too much flake in my world! I'm thinking about shooting a light coat of that red flake on my pearl yellow bike... Should Be different, that's for sure!

Re: Painted my tailgate
Love two tone flake ! I want to paint my 62 K20 gold and black. Gold in place of the factory white with black flake. And black with gold flake below the windows! Im allmost feeling bass boat kinda flake on the roof and interior and standard flake on the body. Anyone want to try to photochop?
