Rear bumper filler
Hi all. I was wondering if you guys have any Ideas on how to cover the gap between the tailgate and the bumper. I've looked at multiple catalogs and I don't see anything to cover that gap....any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Re: Rear bumper filler
Tuck it in! Push it in a inch - or 1.5 in. Looks way better and cleaner.
Pull bumper off. And re drill holes in frame inch or so back. Done Posted via Mobile Device

Re: Rear bumper filler
That would look clean, but the previous owner welded a trailer hitch to the frame. The receiver is butted up right in back of the license plate.

Re: Rear bumper filler
If I remember correctly there were factory fillers in there.

Re: Rear bumper filler
On my last truck,I just had the local metal shop bend one out of 20ga. steel sheet. I just measured for distance between the bed panel, and the bumper, and added 1.5",for the bend(90deg.).I figured out where I wanted it to attatch,at the bumper, and trimmed it to fit,and spot-welded tabs on it.Painted to match, and then screws to hold it at the bed panel, and bolt at the bumper side.Total cost=$20.
