The main reason besides the body style being just plain COOL is that the motor stands/trans crossembers can be interchangable and you do not need to modify a whole lot if none. Everything is very reasonably priced if need to buy at local parts store or you can find alot of them still at Salvage yards. Love these trucks just as my love for the 60-66 chevy trucks. I will be a 60-72 chevy truck owner/lover till I am dead.

Yes, thanks it was a good read. I got my "Maybel" (70 GMC short) a year or so ago and had to park her for a while. I finally got to a place where I can start putting a little love (and more importantly money) her way. This means I can start dreaming and building a little at a time.
