turn signal issue..help

i was just driving home from my uncle's house and turned on my turn signal and they dont flash...they just stay on. however it does flash if i turn on the hazards. anyone know what that is?

Did they work before? I'd check my turn signal flasher... I'm 95% sure you have a different flasher for the hazards...

I'm sure someone else will have more input...

I have to agree .Replace the turn signal flasher,and it should take care of it.

I had this problem, changed the flasher did not help the fuse was blown it should be where the P location is on the diagram above.

thanks guys...ill have to check out that flasher. are they hard to change? and where exactly is it? was lookin in the workshop manual and it dont show it at all.

Swap the flashers around. I believe they are the same between the 2. If the turn signals come back, replace bad flasher. If not look deeper.

Easy to change, just 2 spade connectors on them. Pull them straight out.
The diagram vegas80step posted is the fuse block, look there. My '86 has the hazard flasher by the brake pedal, in case the fuse block doesn't have both.

I never realized that there were 2 separate flashers for the signals and hazards.

'Course I have never had any issues with mine, so haven't had the need. But still, learn something new every day!
