87 short bed brake rotors.

i have been haven a time trying to find the right brake rotors for my short bed. the first set i bought was the wrong bearing size. the inside bearings were to small. the second set the rotor its self was to thick. the guy at the parts store told me 87 only showed a mexico built truck and that was wrong so he looked up a 86. they were to thick. and i know theres a diff from heavy duty and regular 1/2 ton but i cat find the right ones. any one know what i need for this thing please help!! im tierd of goin 30 miles each way with the wrong part. is the 87 mexico truck the one i need?

You are right, there is a difference! Have the parts store look up either a R1500 or V1500. That should give you the made for America version of the truck. In 1987, the C/K designated the made for Mexico version and things were different.

I'd take the spindle off and take it with me if i had to go 30 miles

It sounds like you had originally on the truck was 1in thick rotors so thats why your inner bearings were to small for the new rotors wich must have been 1 1/4in thick with larger inner bearings. What you need to do is measure your original rotors to see for sure if you have 1in or 1 1/4in.
