Re: How long have you been working on yours?
I have been working on it 1 5 months so far and the body is still of the frame. Seems to be taking forever. I figured I should have had it done by now. Time and money

Re: How long have you been working on yours?
I like this thread. It's fun to see the variance in timeframes. Some people bought the same truck twice and some finished in 3 months while another is not finished after 15 years! I hope mine is somewhere in between those two numbers.
I bought my '78 from the original owner in sep 2010. My plan since day one was to get it looking decent and running reliably. As far as that is concerned, I think I have achieved that. Right now I am back in school after a 10 year hiatus and as soon as I get settled in my new career, it is tear down time. I really don't want more than a year to go by between tear down and finished product, but we'll see where life leads me.

Re: How long have you been working on yours?
Started on mine in May (2009) and was done in September of the same year.
Cosmetics only; mechanically it was all good. Did it all in the driveway, too (it had never been in my garage). Build thread: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=342926 K

Re: How long have you been working on yours?
One year in April. Going semi frame-off since I have to switch cabs. So far front clip is off, doors to old cab off, brake and throttle pedals, and visors are all that's left to pull before the old cab comes off. Hope to have a rolling frame by Memorial Day.

Re: How long have you been working on yours?
I bought my truck 5 years ago and started building it 3 1/2 yrs ago. I do minor stuff during the spring and summer so I can still drive it to shows and do major projects during the winter. Ive been traveling for work for the past year and 3 months so i only get to work on it on the weekends now.
