Tranny dipstick alteration

My tranny dipstick has been messed up since i bought the truck. And the last time i checked the fluid the metal cap fell of and i lost it. May be stuck in the frame or on the suspension somewhere. Whatever i was done messing with it so I found a nice locking dipstick in the junk yard from a late model chevy van and came up with the idea to make it fit. Here are some photos. I had an aftermarket dipstick that the tube didnt quite fit and i ended up kinking the tube trying to make it fit. So i cut and spliced the junkyard handle to the aftermarket stick. This could work with the original stick also. The junkyard dipstick was riveted on and i just drilled through with larger 1/8th inch rivets. 10 minute job and it sills up tighter than the original.
