Gearbox advice !

my project recently took a turn in a different direction , i was originally going to use a 305 small block with a TH350 , however i have just bought a low mileage LS1 complete with harness conversion to go into my truck .
I was wondering what gearbox you guys would recommend ?
i still have the 350 but am open to and appreciate any advice .
I am looking for reliability for cruising ,
i have 2 axles at my disposal , an 83 camero and an early 70s camero , agin any help appreciated. In the UK , GM axles and gearboxes are a little harder to come by !
