Re: Heater box assembly non AC with controls

Hmmm....how did do that? I thought for sure I had uploaded them. Well here's another attempt. The inner rubber and door are good. These pics are for the original box in this thread. I looked for my a loose AC box and didn't find it. I think I have one on a cab at the shop. I'll look in the morning.

Re: Heater box assembly non AC with controls

Hi Tom--I have been looking at my heater stuff and want to tell you exactly what I am looking for before you go to the shop next--and your picture does not come up on my screen--here is where I am at--I need you to see if you can see inside the case to inspect the flapper valve seal and especially in the toe area with a light and mirror to verify no damage or cracks in the rubber--if you have one that can be rust free that will look like the one your above picture with a rubber seal with no cracks I will buy it, but if it is not possible to know for sure the condition of the flapper valve I will buy a new aftermarket outside non AC box. I will buy a good clean inner non AC box in the same rust free condition as well.

I have time to wait if you need time to look through your parts.

I also will buy a good, complete, uncut, low weather inside wiring harness for the non AC cab.

I will buy a good, low weather partial inside wiring harness for the non AC cab that is cut before the heater switch plug back along the large brown wire. I can photo you if need be, but you sound like you seen some of these and I mean by low weather that the wires are soft and pliable and so forth.

I examined carefully my AC cab inside harness and it seems very easy to change only the heater wire at the end and delete the AC wiring and more complicated resistor wiring--any help you can give me will be appreciated here!

Last note--I am looking at a clean 01 Dodge electric seat with belts through the top that is close to what looks like Parchment colored interior stuff--I have many catalogs with interior stuff--but, do you know of a company where I could get MATCHING door panels, visors, dash pad, arm rests in any color--especially Parchment?

It may be best if we could talk on the phone to negotiate prices and details--just send me a private message, if so, and I will drop a note here to confirm any purchase--if this is within the rules? Thanks. Greg

Sorry restos and stockers--my street and strip is made from about 5 different trucks and is and always will be custom! I guess it's my version of a Sport Truck. Thanks, Greg

I put this post on a quick reply and it seemed to not attach itself to this thread--sorry, just learning--Greg

pics for chevyman70. It would come as a bare housing. The dark spots are rain drops. No cracks looks fine. Thanks

Re: Heater box assembly non AC with controls

Hi Tom--Here are a couple of pics of the 2001 Dodge Ram electric seat being preped for installation in back of the heater parts--trying to match door panels and carpet and have no door panels as I gave away the parchment panels this Highlander came with due to the plastic turning to powder--still have the Highlander green olive seat with good scroll and bad fabric. Is that shop in Canby any good and can old panels be recovered and look good--and do you have any light saddle or sandalwood panels? THANKS--Name: 490_9057.jpg

Re: Heater box assembly non AC with controls

I don't recall ever seeing 72 sandlewood door panels. I have nice 72 panels but you wold have to paint them. With good prep these can be painted very sucsessfully. Sorry, I don't know anything about that shop in Canby.

Re: Heater box assembly non AC with controls

Hi Again--I would be interested in some pictures of 72 only panels when you get a chance--I have thought about treating and painting some decent ones without decomposition--heat, sun, weather--to match some carpet I see on some sites--and I have seen some restored panels that look great--this shop in Canby--found the name--SMS-- matches carpet and door panels and they look pro--cost is probably pro as well--still matching and designing... Thanks, Greg

Is this outer box still available? I am interested if so.

Re: Heater box assembly non AC with controls

pics for omodified.

This one is very nice. The back panels have the typical surface rust as the pic shows. I can exchange the tins that have been acid dipped and media blasted for a 15.00 you paint or just as it is.

Thanks, Tom
