Is a 68 GMC cab the same as 68 C10 and will it change the vin?

I have a 68 chevy c10 but I found a sweet deal on a 68 gmc cab thats rust free. Will it bolt up and is there any difference? Can I still use my 68 chevy clip? and the new is set up for automatic, what do I have to do to put the clutch pedal in?

Just remove the clutch delete plate in the firewall. You have everything you need from your Chev, right? The pedals are the same,if the GMC cab still has the brake pedal. The clutch pedal just slides through what's already there. You remove a clip or pin of something on the inner side and slide the pedal with rod attached. Look up in there and see how it's held in place. It's been a while and I don't recall exactly how it's kept but I do recall it's easy.

The clutch is no problem but the VIN might be. Do you have a title with the GMC cab? If not are you planning on swapping VIN plates? Do you have the correct rossete rivits to make that happen? You might want to check on the legalities of all that before you dive in too deep.
