tranny crossmember

Ok so i just got the motor and tranny in the truck last night...5.3 4l60e....

Can i use the stock cross member that my tb 350 ? Or shoukd i just buy the one from ece

I used the stock 350 crossmember. It was in the very front holes and with the ECE motor mounts I mounted it just forward of the second set of holes, i.e. there are half a set of holes 2.75" back...I call the second set of holes the ones 3.75" back. You could probably use the second second set of holes and drill new holes in the crossmember if you use the ECE motor mounts.

I'm guessing if you use 1" back motor mounts the second set of holes would match up perfectly.

Anyways, use your original crossmember and save the money...you just may need to drill a few holes.


It's hard to explain all the holes without a picture...
