Front Brakes Don't Work

Replaced my front rotors and calipers, master cyl, booster, proportioning valve and I did bench bleed the master before installing in my 72 PU.I have ran at least 3 Qts of fluid through the system using the Motive products power bleeder.I purchaed the rotors, calipers, and proportioning valve from CPP.Any thoughts or suggestions would be helpful.

Thanks,Kirk

Re: Front Brakes Don't Work

Does it seem like you have removed all the air from the system?

Re: Front Brakes Don't Work

Thanks for the reply.I've bled them minimum half dz times and probably more.I checked for leaks and everything is tight.I talked to a guy from CPP today and he suggested gravity bleeding them so I'll try that tomorrow and I'm gonna check my vac press again. My pedal goes about a qtr the way down then catches but it's just the back brakes that work.If I pump it again they catch quickly but again it's only the back.

Prop valve kicked over? Not allowing fluid to the calipers?

Stock style M/C?
Pedal rod the correct length?

Silly question,... But the last problem like this,... the owner had the calipers on upside down. (wrong side of the truck)
The bleeders were on the bottom.

I talked to a salesman from CPP yesterday whom I bought the prop valve from (cat#PV-2) and he didn't say anything about that. What does that mean and how do I fix it if that's the problem?

Thanks,Kirk

Re: Front Brakes Don't Work

Are the hoses new? How well did they gravity bleed? I had a hose that was totally collapsed on the inside and it wouldn't gravtiy bleed, but it would let enough fluid thru for when my girlfriend helped me bleed the brakes.

Brand new, came with the calipers.I'm doing the gravity feed today so we'll find out.Do I do the gravity one wheel at a time or all four at the same time?

Thanks,Kirk
