Re: Bought a C20 Today

The brake pedal is for sure a strange touch. It does look like a late 50's early 60's Chrysler pedal. Someone must have liked to use their right foot. They drilled two holes through the pad and pedal and bolted it, different.
Now Big Daddy about that old cat, she is a car cat. She has to check out every vehicle that shows up, and if a window is down she will jump in. She went for a ride with a buddy of mine one day. He drove off and I hear this screech, look up and he was turning around. I guess she scared him pretty good when he realized she was in the truck with him.

Re: Bought a C20 Today

Spent some time on the old truck. Scrubbed it good, found some early style wheels and painted them. Removed a few unnecessary items including the gargantuan back bumper and frog lights. Primered the copper door. I still have some work to do on the other side but it looks a ton better.

Wow! That is a HUGE improvement. That light green paint came out nice. I love the factory steel wheels too!

The truck is looking real good. How long did you spend rubbing out the old paint?

Re: Bought a C20 Today

I've got a few hours in bringing the paint back. First I scrubbed the whole thing with soap and water using a mild Scotchbrite pad. Then ran the buffer over it. The drivers side doesn't look near as good, but overall the improvement is night and day.
