Problem with 68 C10 Front
Just bought a 1968 C10, the previous owner have changed the grille to the 1969 grille.
I am nog bringing it back to original because the headlights dont match so good to the 1969 grille. But as you can see in the pictures the 2 sides are different, perhaps have been a collision on the right side. What would be the best thing to do? I am in need of parts, front and back bumpers, grille frame, grille moldings, emblems and so on. Regards from Sweden |

Re: Problem with 68 C10 Front
The left fender is for a 68 Chevy or 68-72 GMC. The right fender is 69-72 Chevy. To change back to the 68 front you will need a RH fender, grille, hood and hood latch. It looks like the headlight buckets may not be mounted to the radiator support correctly causing them to be low.

Re: Problem with 68 C10 Front
The 67-68 hood is a little longer and sloped on the front to line up with the edge of the fenders. The 69-72 hood has a flat front edge that sits behind the grille. The blue truck is a 67-68 the orange one is a 69-72.

Re: Problem with 68 C10 Front
Do you really think the headlights will match if i swap the 68 fender for a 69 and put the 69 grille back?

Re: Problem with 68 C10 Front
I'm wondering if it's still got the '68 core support on it instead of a 69-72 core. That could possibly have something to do with the headlights sitting so low. I'm sure someone else will chime in later who can tell you more.
