Been thinking about using Herculiner on the inside of my Blazer, has anybody tried it, how do you like it? Cost is an issue so do not bother telling me to do LineX, I know it is better and it is what I would prefer but cant afford it.

From what I have heard AL's Liner is the best for the money and it is do it yourself and pretty cheap! Like in the 150$ range... as long as you have a compressor.. not sure what you need to spray it though... maybe some board members will help us both out.

I used it on the inside bed of a truck. It was pretty easy to apply with a roller and brush. Looks pretty good for applying it by hand. Only been on a year, but still looks good. Hard to beat for the price.

Check out Durabak. Great stuff, rolls on easy, looks good, and dries fast.

Don't use Herculiner white. They told me right out that it will yellow/grey in time.

i used it before reduced it a little and sprayed it with a undercoating gun toned down the texture some it will chalk up a little from the sun though

AL'S liner is just a few $$ more, and is a much better product IMHO. They sell a cheap mini texture gun to apply it with. I have used it quite a few times, and never had any issues.

If you ever plan on selling the truck I wouldn't line it. It turns a lot of people away when they see the liner because they don't know what rust might be hiding underneath.

Used Herculiner in the past & really liked it for the $. You are correct that it isn't as good as LineX but can't beat it for the money. Had it in the back of an '85 Blazer...dust really showed up on it , but that happens on all bed liners. Also put it on the flat bed section of a bucket truck once...it sat outside ALL the time & was 2yrs before it started peeling up & coming off.
Also easy to touch up spots if you need to, major PITA with the spray on stuff.
I'd use Herculiner again!

I just bought Als liner off their ebay store for $109 shipped. I bought a harbor freight texture gun for $25. The tint to match my paint was $14. I will be spraying it some time in the next week or 2. Don't know what your budget is, but I thought this was pretty cheap. I plan on having my truck forever and don't want to redo this later, so I spent a little more than the herculiner costs. They also sell a roll on kit for the Als liner if you don't have a compressor.

What is a good sized compressor to spray it with? The Al's that is.
