Gas tank vacuum
69 C10. Is gas tank supposed to be under vacuum when I remove gas cap?

No it should not be under vacuum your gas cap should be vented

If it helps any, I order and received one from LMC last week. It is a vented one.
Fram part # PRG-23. I bought two locally one from Oreilys and the other from Car Quest. I told them vented gas cap. Well you guessed it, both were non-venting. Good luck! Keith |

agree -- try a new cap --- happened to my cub lowboy and it would actually run lean and die
