Re: low 64 project
this is where im at gotta modify the ta crossmember to lay out the rest of the way in the rear. i did a 3 inch z but for some reason the front is not laying out. might have to do spindles i guess. also made my own 2 inch blocks in the rear. i thought a 3 inch z would lay a 27 inch tire but i guess not.

Re: low 64 project
looking really good so far man.. that thing should lay frame with a 3 inch z and some drop spindles... do you have anything touching the ground right now or is the suspension just bottomed out?

Re: low 64 project
thnx. the rear ta crossmember is touching in the rear i need to modify it. the front is just done though, gonna have to get spindles for sure. its all good that will help me have a lower ride height i like to ride low as possible, that frame not laying is really bugging me though lol.

Re: low 64 project
Very cool trucks. I wish the weather here was nice enough all year round to drive a bagged daily.

Re: low 64 project
Looking good. I'm just across the metroplex from you and will be doing a Z or dropmember soon I hope. Do you have any problems with your track width in the front? That was teh main benefit I saw in the dropmember was to pull the track width in an inch.

Re: low 64 project
creep, thnx! your truck is badass i wanted to leave my stock paint like that but the po sandblasted the whole frontend sucks! and its texas but the other day it was cold enough to freeze my valves up lol. kpc01, it would be cool to have the narrower track up front but i dont have the funds for a dropmember so thats why i went this route. all i see so far is the tires catch the fender on the way down where the inner fenders would bolt on but ill trim that. i like to ride as low as i can and as far as i can tell right now it should turn pretty low.

Re: low 64 project
Thanks! I have an aftermarket crossmember and still had to trim the fenders. It still rubs at full lock when I try cruising lower than my normal ride height. I may try some wheels with less lip and see how they work.

Re: low 64 project
They are the same rims. My buddy gave me the wheels from his '92 when he found a set of the factory chrome steelies from a 454 SS model for dirt cheap.

Re: low 64 project
got some progress done finally. ta crossmember modified got the frame layed out in the rear had to put some little notches in the trailing arms but it down now. got the rear bag mounts in place now i have to gusset them up, box the frame , and do the bridge and some other tube work. lots more to come this is just where it is now.

Re: low 64 project
Did you reinforce the trailing arms where they are notched? It looks like they may be able to twist under load, especially with the notches being between the bags and the axle.

Re: low 64 project
thats on the list of things to do when i do all the other gussets. im trying to get all the templates cut out to give my buddy who cut all the bag plates much easier than cutting them myself lol.
