Verry important!!! Ebay SCAM!!! Please Read!!!!

Please keep this at the top!!! I have recieved a notice in my email from a scam artist targeting ebay users. The email says it is from ebay and the subject says "Official notice for all e-bay users"
The following is what is in the message body:
Dear eBay Uder,

During our regular udpate and verification of the accounts, we couldn't verify your current information. Either your information has changed or it is incomplete.

As a result, your access to bid or buy on Ebay has been restricted. To start using your eBay account fully, please update and verify your information by clicking below :

https://scgi.ebay.com/saw-cgi/eBayIS...ifyInformation

These fake ebay emails have been going around lately, one trick is (ebay showed me this) is to check your address bar when you have the email on your screen and any email from ebay will have "ebay" in the first part of the address. This helps me at least, I do a lot of buisness on ebay and get several ebay related emails a day.

the address in the bar that is authentic will also begin with "cgi" and not the "scgi"... Someone could be easely fooled with these though if you are not carefull. This is why I posted this all over... WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com

TTT Its not only ebay there are simalar scams for paypal and other sites too. Be carefull.

I got that exact ebay email a couple months ago, I knew it wasn't right so I just forwarded it to Ebay. Watch your backs

I also rec'd that a while back and just ignored it. I figured if it was important they would get in touch again. FYI Ebay also owns paypal now. So they get paid twice anytime a transaction is completed with that service. They just cant quite make enough money........

Forward any suspicous mail to spoof@ebay.com . Same thing for paypal, forward to spoof@paypal.com . It gives them a path to follow back to the scam artists.
