305 v6 bell mounts
i have gmc 305 v6 and i recently got a t5 i want to put in it. i was thinking since i was under there i might as well replace the mounts on the bell housing. i read a thread somewhere on this forum where they mentioned where to get them and now i cant find it. does anyone know where i could find them? or a similar product i may be able to substite? any help is appreciated

Click on the clutch replacement (post #4) link in my signature. No one remakes the originals, but you can use later transmission mounts that work. There P/N should be in the thread as well.

Here is a picture of the newer mount under a bell housing. 305 mated to a 4 sp. hydromatic (all stock)
They work perfectly and you can get them at any NAPA.

do you have a part # or name for these? i called napa and the guy said he didnt have anything listed for bellhousing mounts. i am assuming thats what they are called. otherwise i may have to use the original ones, i'd rather not though. |
