so yesterday i have come across a tilt steering column out of a 71 that was a 3 on the tree, my question will this column work with my th400 linkage? any help

It can't be both. It is either a tilt or a 3 on the tree. If it is a tilt, it should work fine with your th400.

Alright thanks I'll have to see which one it is I was just going off of what the guy told me
