engine driven fan
can you run an engine driven fan on a sb chevy in an ad truck. like using a short waterpump

Yes but it usually sits a bit low low on the radiator rather than being centered in most cases.

On the 366 cu in Chevy/GMC big block truck engines they had a high rise water pump to center the fan on the medium duty trucks like the 90's Top Kick trucks.
That said, check to see if there is a small block version available that would work for you. |

im runnin an engine fan in my 49 with no probs at all even before i built my fan shroud it never ran hot even at interstate speed r in heavy traffic,only put the fan shroad on because of ac, by the way i have a big ac condenser an trans cooler in front of my rad
