Do I need a new Cam?
I was talking to a guy the other day and was telling him I was pulling my 2 barrel carb. I said I wanted just just put a new intake on and then go with a 4 barrel. He said I should change out the cam since it wouldn't do well with a new carb setup.
I am a novice at this stuff so not sure. Any opinions?

Re: Do I need a new Cam?
Growing up as a teenager I changed two or three over to 4-barrell and never changed the cam could not afford to if I had wanted to but everything always ran fine without changing the cam??? So I would say NO you do not have to.

Re: Do I need a new Cam?
Amacthed cam to the intake /carb set up is great but uneeded. You can do it and get more out of it but you in no way have to. Just make sure the intake is not to big ,like a tall single plane and when or if you do change the camshft don't go to big there either or youwill regret it. For a truck to be driven moderation or less is better.
