quick 69-72 console question

Ok, two quick questions...

1) does the console bolt directly to the floor (or is there some metal bracing/frame between the console and floor)?

2) does the cupholder on a 73+ console bolt/fit, etc into a 69-72 console in place of the seatbelt holder?

Thanks!

1 Yes it screws directly to the floor. If you look close enough you can usually see the four dimpples where you need to drill.

2 The seat belt style ran from 69-76 and the cup holder ran from 77-80, and they used the same base, so they are a direct swap.
