shocker interchangability

Guys , im downunder and am having trouble getting a good set of front and rear shock absorbers..most vendors here dont carry the early stuff but have later shocks from 75ish on.. I have a 70 coil rear , front has drop spindles..
so what im after is; do any of the other model shox fit my 70?

thanx, Gav

Re: shocker interchangability

i'm not sure year to year but if you take a front shock and a rear shock off and measure them both what they are extended and colapsed and then you should be able to match them up. somebody might no what years interchange if there are any

Gav, up front you can use the same as the 73-87 truck Monroe 33033 LINK LINKOn the rear you need the 32301 LINK LINKI did a quick search on Rockauto.com and got these numbers. You might be able to see if you have a similar supplier there on the south side of the globe
