service engine light?

we hooked it up to a computer to check the codes, nothing pops up. The engine runs great, but the check engine light won't go off. Any suggestions?

I disconnected the battery to reset the computer, still on.

Ok go down the Home depo ( or where ever you get your electrical tape and then stick it over the light.

No what you really want to do is replace littile things , could be a bad dash light , could be a bad sensor who knows what it really could be.

short together the appropriate pins on the diagnostic port and turn the key on and let it flash the codes.

We had the same problem after we put dual 3"exhaust on our Suburban. It was nothing mechanical, it just triggered a sensor on the O2 sensor because too much fuel was passing by it. Might be the case. Good luck and keep us posted.
