Vented gas tank

I have a 1969 C-20 by all the thing i have researched it is a 1969 C-20! But the DMV want to classify it as a 1972. It has no VIN rivited to the drivers side door pillar, nor can i find a # on the frame. There are only a few thing different in the yrs and one is the vented gas tank.

It all worked in my favor. Its reg now as a 1969 C-20 they could not find any thing that made it a 1972. So i win. Thanks for the advice.
