Re: Oil Filter

WIX 51061 oil filter and Rotella T (or Delo 400 LE SAE 15W-40) oil every 5k or six month. Napa 1061 is made by Wix and is straight copy of 51061 filter. If 51060 is on sale I would use it since it has anti drain back valve - non needed on SBC.

Re: Oil Filter

I use Baldwin B6 on my smallblocks and Baldwin B1428 on my 6.5. We always used them back home on the tractors. Baldwin had more filter paper surface area than the competition a few years ago.

Baldwin, Wix, Mann, and Hastings manufacture their own filters. They all have a good reputations. I wouldn't have a problem using any one of them on my vehicles.

WIX made the AC Delco filters for years. They're made by Champion Labs now. K&N is rumored to buy theirs from Champion as well... but they look different.
