need pass bucket seat floor bracket
I'm needing the floor bracket that the latch slips into. Sold a set of buckets and the bracket didn't make it to him. Thanks Randy

I'd like to buy one also to make a pattern off of so that I can make a few. I'd appreciate any help if someone has a spare.
Thanks, David |

When I first started looking for this bracket, I found some pics on the board of one that had been fabricated. Click on the links below to see pics of it. Don't want to steal thread. But I do have several of them. So who ever needs some can pay-pal at rockenc@vistabeam.com. If we get too many requests I can start a new thread.
Thanks Rock C

Re: need pass bucket seat floor bracket
Mel,
Are there significant differences between the model years on this piece, and if so, what are they? Can they be "made to work"? Thanks! |

Re: need pass bucket seat floor bracket
I kept waiting for someone to answer if there are any significant differences between the styles of floor brackets. I decided to get off my butt and check it out. I am including a picture of the two early style passenger seat brackets side by side. One of them has the part number on it and is identical to the one in my 1972 GMC Jimmy. The other one does not seem to have a part number on it. I am pretty sure the second one was removed from a 1973 or 1974 Blazer. You can see in the picture the later style is taller than the other. I would guess about a quarter of an inch. I am guessing you could make the taller one work but I didn't want to go to the trouble to mount it up and see. Classic Bowties mentions a third style. I am sure I have one but could not find it this morning. When I find it I will take another picture. Hope this helps.

Re: need pass bucket seat floor bracket
and just what I was trying to get at in the above post #17. If you are going to take the time and effort to find these factory type OE pieces, why not find the correct one for your year of seat setup? To use that taller later style bracket are you guys removing the center latch guide #3989632 bumper (the rubber one around the guide pin) so that the two outer side #3989633 bumpers will then set flat on the floor to support the seat as designed? Mel
