Need help identifying what this dash is out of

I found this picture in the "Post Some Pics" section. Can anyone tell me what it came out of?

Thanks in advance.

That or another 58-60 is GM. There have been a couple of build threads that used a 59 or 60 auto and a 55 auto dash. Search should pick them up. Guys over at HAMB do alot of dash swapping too!

That would be a 59-60 Impala. They were the same for both years. The aluminum cladding at the lower face were on the Impala. The Biscayne had no cladding. In my opinion they look great in Task Force trucks. I wanted one for mine but settled for a 57 BelAire because at the time I was looking, the 59/60 was hard to find.

Check out "Chuck Driver's" '57 build thread to see a step by step installation of this dash. You have to narrow the dash in the center to make it fit but his (and his whole truck!) came out great.

Personally, I'd LOVE to have a '55 Belair dash in my '55 and I have a mig welder and all the tools...everything except the ability! DOH!

That always has been one of the great looking dashes.

You guys are just like everyone else. All you need to do is practice and you'll be able to do it. Time and patience goes a long ways.

Re: Need help identifying what this dash is out of

I was lucky enough to find a dash at the local junk yard for a $100. Thanks for the help. Now to get it home and start fabricating it.

Re: Need help identifying what this dash is out of

I have the dash cut up and fitted. I will be posting my progress in the build thread section. I will try and add the link here.
