Custom 4-Door Cab Future Build Idea?
Okay, so my dad and I have this idea, of taking two single cabs, and putting them together to make a 4-door, except reversing one cab, to make the back two doors suicide doors. Was wondering if anyone has done this or seen it? Feedback? Thought it would be a sweet custom build.

Re: Custom 4-Door Cab Future Build Idea?
To describe what we have in mind, we're talking about taking two single cabs, cutting off the backs and welding them together, so that the back 2 doors would be suicide doors, and fabricating the back cab so that we can weld the back window piece to the firewall and add a middle chunk between the gap where the windshield originally set, and the back window piece. We're talking about a LOT of welding, and fabrication. A real project. My dad thought it would be a badass idea. So anyone ever seen this done before and have pics of it? Also would have to do a major frame extension.

Re: Custom 4-Door Cab Future Build Idea?
My dad just told me his whole idea for it - Take the two cabs, pop out both back windows, bolt the two cabs together, and on the reversed cab, just leave the windshield in, and completely cut out the dash and everything, then extend out the frame, custom made bed, and lengthen all the lines and wires.

Something like this Will? Only with a bed in the back, not the complete front end.
I know it's not a Chevy/GMC but is the only picture I could find at the moment. I would think if the seats in the back cab were facing forward, there wouldn't be any head room. Your heads would be hitting the "back" windshield. |

Yeah Jason, that was how we were gonna do it. But now we're thinking of leaving both cabs facing forward, and going from there. But yeah, that was our original plan. We're still planning this as we go, because we haven't done anything yet lol.
