Sliders vs Solid Glass

As you can see some little twit threw a rock through one of my side glass windows. I have been thinking I might replace the sliders with solid glass since I have two very good replacements. I will have to get new gaskets for the solid glass or replace all of the rubber chanel for the sliders and replace the broken glass, If you can even replace it. Give me your opinion on whether you like your sliders or not?

Re: Sliders vs Solid Glass

It seems to me that I almost always go back to my first choice. Not sure why I always second guess myself, but there is no right or wrong decision in this, just a matter of opinion. I am going solid and I will probably just see if there is any interest in the sliders.

Re: Sliders vs Solid Glass

I may put sliders in my CUCV one day. Nobody makes an AC kit for it anymore and the wings that come with the sliders really move some air.

Re: Sliders vs Solid Glass

Solid looks clean. That's how I had my '90,but with dark tint. But,it's awful closterfobic back there with no way to even spit or get air. I like the sliders. I have a pair for my '85 Jimmy if I put the hard top back on. I plan to paint the aluminum matte black, though.
