Universal c-notch?

Anybody ever use a universal c notch on your 73-87? I found one pretty cheap but am not sure on fitment. It looks identical to the suicide doors universal notch except the notch is round.

Universal c-notch? Who sells it? If its cheap, there is probably a reason.

I found it on ebay, just trying to figure out if it would work fine or if id be better off to spend the money and get a c10 specific notch. I've been out of the loop here for awhile, what brand are most guys getting these days? Mcgaughys?

I'd stick with a make/model specific notch. You could use Mcgaughys, or belltech, but I know Nathan over at Poterbuilt has a nice one available too.

True, there are other manufacturers for vehicle specific c-notches. I used a KP universal, but that is because the price is right. The specific ones are easier to install, because they are easier to center up and align on the frame.... just less measurements, that all.
