Wipers stopped working..

While driving my truck in the rain the wipers were wiping real slow. Then they stopped working. After they were off for a spell they started up again. So I will replace the motor. I believe the hood will have to come off to get the cowl off. It is an 87. Is that the case? Does anyone know who has the best motor?

If they were seized I don't think it would have started to work again. Well I bought a new motor. Thanks.

May be the wiper switch on the column. mine did that bit would have a mind of thier own. Would go off in the middle of summer sometimes lol got a new switch and no more probs

I turned the switch off and on after it quit, but it would not work. After a while it started to work. I will first replace the motor then the switch if needed. Thanks.

I'm 85% sure it's the switch though but a new motor won't hurt anything lol

Just what is the complete procedure get the switch out? From getting the horn button off to getting the switch out. I do think I just pull the horn button real hard to get it off. Then what?
