Re: Changing Front Ends Questions
I have a 79 frame / running gear with an 80-something front clip (not sure as there were 3 doner trucks). There is a 2" difference in where the rad support bolts up from the older trucks to the newer trucks, but I can't remember if it is 2" forward or back.
Personally, I like the square headlights on the square trucks. Round eyes look silly to me, but that's just personal opinion...

I bought the truck in summer of 11; dad & brother put new box sides on, and surprised me with a new paint job. Jan of 12 the float stuck in the carb and she burned... The truck is back in MI now and being re-built AGAIN by my Dad & Brother. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/gallery/...8633&protype=1 |

Re: Changing Front Ends Questions
I was just doing a little reading up, because I'm actually thinking of doing a 73-78 swap on my 84. And I noticed that if you want to put an 80 square little grille on your 74 you also need to order the lower grille/valance sheet metal (not sure what its called), it's the part that the front turn signals mount into. It's different on the square headlight models then it is on the 73-80 round eyes.
Parts #7 and #8
