72 Chevy C-10 "Freddy"

Finally found another 67-72 Chevy C-10. I had a 68 C-10 shortbed like all of us kick myself everyday for getting rid of it. So now I finally found a cheap starter project a 72 C-10. Positives: 5 lug power disc brakes, powersteering and what looks to be the original 350/350 combo. It runs barely. Negatives was a long bed that someone shortened, Has 73-87 stepside bed. This will be a project as finances permit. Fun money split between it and the other hobby beside it in the garage. So let the fun begin. "Freddy" as it has been named by my four year old daughter. Pics Coming soon

Re: 72 Chevy C-10 "Freddy"

Welcome, I was out in Fallon this week picking up equipment from our jobsite, Stillwater Solar Project and noticed a couple houses with a few 67-72 chevy-GMC trucks. One home just passed Indian Res. on Stillwater Rd. on left side. I was going to stop but it didn't look like anyone home.

Anyone know a good price for a complete short step bed minus tailgate?

I love Fallon and that whole million mile desert around it. Nice to go somewhere that isn't all filled up with people.

Re: 72 Chevy C-10 "Freddy"

Time for an update Project is about to take drastic turn. Picked up a second truck last night a 67 short bed fleet side with 700r4 transmission. Has original build sheet in seat back. So parts from the 72 will be moved to this frame. Pics coming soon

No, no, it is NOT time for an update, it's time for some PICTURES!!!!
JUST kidding, know you're working on some pics! Can't wait to see! I'm with y'all, China Lake is kinda like Fallon "south" when it comes to being middle of nowhere, and that's way nice in my book. Been to Fallon many times and always keep my eyes peeled for some nice rust-free classics.
