Hi,
i just wanna know if i can swap my suburban 1990 1500 brake power booster
to my c20 1979 silverado truck
Can i make the swap with no problems???

When I did my power brake swap on my '80, I used the booster and m/c from an '84 (had initially purchased a used booster for an '84 and a new m/c - booster ended up being bad so I swapped it out w/ a re-man one, still for an '84

RockAuto lists the part numbers by brake code (i.e. JB5, etc.) so I kept the brake codes consistent (for me, it was the lightest-duty power brake option, or JB3, that I was going for) across the different years.

Looks like 3/4 ton brakes are compatible with 1/2 ton truck and Suburban brake options (JB5) so you should be able to do the swap w/ no problem.

Agree.

Looks like it depends on the specific brake RPO on the 3/4 ton.

Here are the brake system release charts for '87; according to these the 1/2 ton JB5 system and the 3/4 ton JB6 use the same booster, by part number 18010581 / "FD":
