Sale or trade

For Sale or trade:

Have for sale or trade a crate BBC LS6 450 horse motor with about 30,000 miles mated to a Bowtie Overdrive Stage II 700R4 transmission with about 8,000 miles on it. Motor is a bone stock LS6 crate motor manufactured in 1992 with a new Edelbrock 1411 750 elec choke on top of the winter's intake manifold. This motor is a solid lifter motor with an advertised 450 HP. Both items come as a set. For the set (engine and tranny), I would like $7500. Of course offers are always welcome.

In trade, I would like a complete 5.3, or 6.0(preferred) and auto tranny combo with wire harness, alt, both pumps(AC and PS), ECUs, pedal, in effect a complete swap to go in a 70 CST. No more than 50K miles. Prefer local, no further than ATL or Columbia, SC.

If interested, email me at funfer@hotmail.com and I would be happy to provide pictures.

Thx...John

Re: Sale or trade

I remember back in the late 80's, you could still by LS6 crates for $2495. If only I could find my time machine keys! LOL! Good luck with your sale. It will make someone with a 70 Chevelle, very happy!

You could certainly be right! I'd bet you are. Certainly, a 70 Chevelle SS owner with the correct package would be interested.

Not that I don't have something special...a 70 CST with and LS6 in it is something I have never seen before so it is kind of nostalgic. Correct year but completely wrong vehicle. We will see. I may pull it anyway and see what happens on Ebay. However, with things in GM progressing so fast with their motors it may be best to wait another year or so.

Take Care, John

Not offering a trade. However, I know where a 2006 5.3/4L60e setup is. Its complete with all accesories, harness and computer. I think he wants $1,200 for all of it.
