Blazer gas tank question
I bought a new Dorman 31 gallon tank for my blazer. This one has a 1 7/8 filler neck, my old one has a 1 3/8 filler neck. Did this change during a certain year?

Re: Blazer gas tank question
Sure its not a suburban tank ? You can go on dormans site and just search the different years , I would think there was a change , if your stuck with the tank either change the your fill neck or step down the hoses .
Could be a diesel tank , they had different size fill necks . |

Re: Blazer gas tank question
The pickups are the same way. The older trucks with the round filler cap have a smaller neck. It must have changed when they went to a vented cap and fuel door (78-79?)

Re: Blazer gas tank question
That does sound right, mine is a 76 with no emissions from the factory (except PVC) No cat, no egr, no return line, just a vent coming out of the sender.
