dana 60 front axle rebuild use, sell?

when I bought my truck the po gave me a dana 60 front axle when I bought the truck (actually I paid $500 more for it and gobs and gobs of spare parts)

I have been debateing on useing it or selling it

-when I opened the diff cover oil and water sludge came out water and oil was clean, gears are not rusted but caps are
-its out of a dually truck canI use this to convert it? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33728

It looks like I will have to do an overhaul to use it beacause the bearings are prob shot and thats how I am I don't trust boneyard functional parts

If I where to sell as is how much could I get out of it?

I don't plan on going realy big with tires or anything but I would really really like to use the disc brakes off of it

as you can see the hubs are $400.00 for the set, not sure on the cost of the rebuild kit...around $200.00...how are the brakes on it, if you need parts for that then add them on too...a rebuildable one can get you $500.00 to $750.00 but with the water and all not sure what you could get. If you had the SRW axle then it would be worth more....let me know about the brakes cause if there good I would take it for around the $500.00 amount you paid for it...

A useable dana 60 for a SRW application goes for 900 to 1200 depending on gears/locker/condition. Almost no demand for DRW types except as cores to convert to SRW. Since yours needs hubs($400) and calipers and possibly bearings. $500 is reasonable. Shipping can kill the deal because these pigs are HEAVY! 450-500lbs IIR
