does anyone have any information on this GM extinguisher? Is it rare?What did they come in? Is it a wanted item? It has a model number of 1965 Thanks

Yes quite rare and expensive. Thinking of selling it? Notice the GM crest font is different in 1963. Optioned in all Chevrolet line.

I researched it for lots of hours and i found no info on it. I kinda checked out ebay and found nothing so i kinda figured i had something a little rare. yes i thought about selling it on ebay but i wouldnt know how to list it and i dont beleive to many people are searching for it on ebay. So i really dont know where to sell it or what its even worth to a collector. Should i get it repainted or leave it like it is?

Leave it like it is, Seen one on ebay, it sold for something like $600.00. Yours is not as nice but your label is clean. I'd list it in the condition it's in so the purchaser can match the paint to their liking. Looks more like it was from the seventies. A fire station might be able to date it for you or a place that recharges fire extinguishers.

it has a 1965 date stamped in the label. I heard that i would have a problem shipping it. What do you think?

I see M272/01 after the classification number as well as EXT. 1972 after the approval numbers. We had to use Hazmat stickers on the side of the trailer when we hauled a truck load of extinguishers for Kidde. As for a single unit, check with the post office first.

Today it's cheaper to buy an extinguisher than to have your old one refilled.
