wtb part of a big truck fender

I need just the upper front corner of a rh fender off of a 60-66 big truck.

check out the pic to see just what I need, both the fenders I have are crashed, and misshapen on the front corner.

ideally we could just cut the front corner off and ship it in a flat rate box....

I think the measurements are 9x9x5? ( better pics and measurements farther down in the post \/ )

here is the pic, the part I need is now on the left rear...

Re: wtb part of a big truck fender

Pretty sure I can get you a piece pc a c50 but don't know how much it will cost, probably not too much. Can you take a pic of your fender with the part you need drawn on it so I can tell where to cut? How big of flat rate box and do you know how much the flat rate is?

Re: wtb part of a big truck fender

thanks, I will get you a detailed pics of where to cut, and see which size f/r box it will fit in, probably large, which is about 16.00.. at least that was the price a few months ago

Re: wtb part of a big truck fender

ok, here are all the measurements:
1)from the top 11 inches down.
2) at 11 inches down and from the front seam 8 1/2 inches back.
3) from the top and down on the inside 6 inches down.

I gave all these measurements about an extra inch of what I need for my piece, so I can trim to fit.

large flat rate box is 12x12x5.5, $14.95 , I think it will fit in that.
however it dosen't have to be shipped in a flat rate box if that is too much trouble.

Re: wtb part of a big truck fender

Man I hate to tell you this, but I went back to get that piece of fender, and wouldn't you know it, it's rusted in the front. Pretty much the only rust on this truck. Real sorry about that.

Re: wtb part of a big truck fender

Next week my buddy's going to his container where my fenders are stored. I told him about your project. I'll see what they look like and let you know. Everything I found in the scrap yard this week was dented or rusted.

Re: wtb part of a big truck fender

BTT!!! still looking

this stuff (big truck) is too valuable as scrap steel now to mess with someone that wants parts....
I might need to try sneaking into the scrap yard with a sawazall!!
3-4 years ago these trucks were all over craigslist, and for cheap, sadly I think most are gone now...

Re: wtb part of a big truck fender

I am going soon in search for some parts of my on for my newly brought home 64 C60. It needs a left fender a hood a grill and grill surround and a right vent glass. I will look for you a fender patch if you still need one . I may end up buying a whole truck if I find what I need to make mine right. I was told a local scrap yard has about 5 of these c40-60 trucks, I will go as soon as I can, busy trying to clear out some jobs from the shop before spring break.

Re: wtb part of a big truck fender

Jon I looked at one today it was a disappointment to me. It was a 63, and the fender was all screwed up on that side. It did however have a tach mounted on the dash that looked like it was original to the truck, was there a GM accessory tach ? The seat was original as well and only had a small [half fist size ] hole in it is it the same as the 64?

Re: wtb part of a big truck fender

Hey Jon

Earlier today I saw a C40-60 truck that is just sitting, close to the westbound I-90 on ramp from St Regis. I don't know anything about it though. Looks like it has been sitting there for a while.
