clear zinc, silver cadminm, and Zinc Phosphate Questions
I'm having some 67-72 parts replated but not exactly sure what was plated with what. Anybody know what parts are plated with the above choices? Thanks, Tom

Re: clear zinc, silver cadminm, and Zinc Phosphate Questions
I have all the hardware on my restorations clear zinc plated. This is a batch I just picked up recently. I'm not a purist on restoring old trucks so I can't add to what is "proper" for originality. I get them done this way because it looks like new hardware and it's dirt cheap to have batches done. My plater has a 25 dollar minimum charge but he'll do 25 pounds of hardware for that price. I've never walked out of there for over 50 dollars total no matter how much stuff I took him.

Yea...second on that. You couldn't buy all of that new for the price.
I'm trying to replate things back original plating instead of painting. I'm a purist. I enjoy restoring back to original just like it left the assembly line. Parts I'm trying to restore are parts such as: carb spacer coil brackets hood hinges certain bolts disc brake stone shields hood latches and more.
