This is what an oil sender looks like if you have an oil light. If you have an oil pressure gauge, a copper line will be coming out of that hole and attached to the oil pressure gauge in your dash.

It is the part to the left of the distributor in this photo. This photo is of the back of a SBC engine I pulled.

Sorry I don't have a photo handy of the temp sender in the head.
