Anyone have a set of ls motor mouts for an SD raised crossmember they're not using?

I've got an Thorbecke Brothers (SD) raised crossmember in my project and it came with the sbc mounts(bought the whole chassis 2nd hand). I'm now thinking of going with an Gen III engine. Anyone happen to have a set they're not using?

I just got off the phone with them and they're not making the crossmember or any of the parts anymore. Said that the guy that designed the crossmember quit and took all the parts/info with him........... Just my luck...

I know they're quite simple and could have them fabbed, but that's just more work/time for a project that I don't seem to have any time for as it is.

Figured I'd have more luck in the suspension section then the wanted section.

Thanks,

I don't think they ever sold a LS motor mount, (or a 6-cylinder or a Big Block Chevy motor mount).
Just the small block chevy mount.

When they first started selling their "raised crossmember",... they didn't even know there was a frame "height" difference between the 67-72 frames and the 73-87 frames.

I think you are stuck fabbing your own,... or buying a Dropmember.

Maybe you could modify a set of Nate's LS mounts.

It still list the crossmembers on their site with gen III and sbc as options, but yeah I figured I'd end up having to fab them. Not really a big deal, just somthing else that has to be done.

I'm def. not swaping the crossmembers. I'm sure that'd be a money & time losing venture.

I've actually got a set of sbc dropmember motor mounts from the plate style dropmember(my last abandoned project)

They are close to the same, but it be about as easy to make them from scratch then buy and then modify a set of Nate's.

Going to post over on the C10forum aswell.

Have you thought about just using standard swap adapter plates, commonly available? You could bolt them to the LS block, then blot your SBC mounts to them. They come on various setback positions, or the Dirty Dingo mounts are infinitely adjustable within a 3" range. Can usually find them on eBay for $50 or so...

Doug-

Shoot me a pm with your number. Maybe we can get some measurements to compare. I bet we can come up with either some mounts that will work or some parts that would make it easier for you to build some of your own.

Thanks. It's going to be awhile till I've got a motor to mock up but I'll be in touch when I do.
