craigslist score

so ive had an add on craigslist for a while on an ls style engine and trans.
last week while i was at the hospital welcoming my new cousin into the world. a guy calls me and says hes got a 5.3 and an 4l60e trans from a 2000 2wd truck. with the computer and wiring harness plus extras.

so i set up a time to go an look at this motor and transmission.
and that time was today at about 6pm and i think i came out good.

i got a 2000 5.3 block and 4l60e tranny harness computer half of a cut harness. the 5.3 has 862 heads on it the seller pulled a head while i was there. bore looks ok he said could use a hone i will prob take to the shop.
and have it checked out by a machen shop have a hone done. i got the compressor for the ac water pump and power stering pump and truck intake. oh an some ls to sbc mounts also

plus he tossed in a cracked 6.0 block with some 317 heads
i think i got a good score for 800 cash.

im going back in two weeks for ls1 intake from a camaro.
plus a camaro waterpump and camaro oilpan for cheap.

i know i know pics or it didnt happen well here are a few

pics taken with phone they kinda sucked

Re: craigslist score

nice score, pretty good haul id say. but save ur cash on the ls1 intake and get an ls6 intake instead, unless the ls1 is a complete steal.

Re: craigslist score

TheOBD connector isn't part of the engine harness, its part of the under dash harness. Just grab one at the junk yard.

Re: craigslist score

Ok, I gotta ask, is the tranny painted pink, or is it the red clay/dirt that Texas is made of?
