crinkle in weatherstripping

I just put in some brand new weatherstripping but it is crinkled in the corners? I there anyway to fix the crinkles? Should I cut the weatherstrip into two sections?

I am not sure, my blazer did not come with seal plates, but they are on my list of things to buy. Do the seal plates go into the corner and up the side of the door a little bit? I have crinkles in both lower corners.

Re: crinkle in weatherstripping

Yes your door sill plates should cover that.

See the body joint where your lower rockers are spot welded??

My door sill plates almost reach up to that joint on both sides of the door, so it should more than cover your weatherstrip wrinkles.
