Wheel size

Could someone tell me what size the wheels shoud be on a 1958 apache. Its a 3/4 ton.The wheels that are on it now are 16" which is fine but the front rims are rubbing when I turn a corner and putting a groove in the rim. They are stamped f*rd rims. I am keeping the truck original so I want to use steel rims. Thanks

Re: Wheel size

This table lists the wheel sized by model. http://chevy.oldcarmanualproject.com...to/59tsn05.htm Looks like 16 or 17.5" would have been standard depending on if it is a 3/4 or 1 ton.
