Sea Foam

Can I put Sea Foam in my 87 gas tank? Will it hurt the TBI injectors?

Re: Sea Foam

I've dumped it straight into the throttle body with no ill consequences. Just slowly pour about 1/3 of the bottle in the TB while the truck is running, then shut it off. Wait 5 min, then fire it back up and enjoy the Cheech and Chong-sized smoke show.

Re: Sea Foam

Thanks. I heard I could put it in with the oil too. I may put it, or Marvel Mystery oil in with the oil , and drive it for 10 miles before I change the oil.

Re: Sea Foam

I usually put some in my oil about 500 miles before I change it. Its not going to hurt anything, an 10 miles won't be long enough for it to do any real cleaning.

It also works better if you pull it in through a vacuum source than pouring it in the TB IMO
