Jeff, I sure am. I have had a few that were "almost" what I wanted, but not quit. Now delete the link so no one else knows what it is...:p

If it's a door panel, the dealer still sells them for a 77, passenger side only though. Not sure why they don't have the drivers side. I asked about one today, when I was asking about them for my 85. They still have them for my 85. Get this folks, 40 something each list, 30 something each wholesale. Don't know the exact figure, I was too excited to remember. Got one coming in the morning to make sure it's the right one.

Mike, you really know how to hurt a guy. That's ok, I got "two" panels for $30 bucks.
Of course I will spend another $1000 in materials to get it correct again... |

after buying a ton of stuff from them, they all know me by name, and of course I know all of them by name too. Way back, when I first started going in there, they charged me list price. After talking with them and getting on a first name basis, they all give me wholesale price now. Just to think, I paid $200.00 for some piece of crap Coverlay replacement door panels. Now I find out I can get GM panels for $70.00. It's about enough to make me sick to think about it. Oh well, live and learn I guess. |

Jeff,
I got it! I suggested he post a "buy it now" and he did. It was a bit high, but it is "supposed" to be working. We will see how well it works. Regardless it is clean... |

$90 is an extremely low buy it now price...good job!! I have seen these go for close to $200 many times...the one I had a while back went for $175!
Hope it all works out...it is a 77 too!! -Jeff |

Yeah, considering it's for a 77, and everything is supposed to work, it's a better deal than I make it sound. I guess those rumors of me being a tight wad have some merit....:p |

I hope it works Ken, I can't wait to see it. One thing to be careful of, when you are swapping out assemblies...be careful not to break off the tabs on the blue housing. it takes a little wiggling to get them in and out and usually the tabs break if care and caution is not taken -jeff |

Ken,
I'm not sure if you are just lucky or you are that damned good. It seems you either have it or you don't. You definetely got it going on. Good score buddy. I wonder if the guy felt his change hit him in the back of the head, when he got royally screwed. You did use lubricant, right?? :p

Mike the guy that really got screwed was the poor sap that was bidding on the dash. I emailed the seller before anyone had bid, and asked him to put a fair "buy it now" price on the auction. Since no one had bid, he was able to do it still. He responded, and told me it was available. In the meantime some poor guy put a bid out there.
I'm sure he was just waiting things out, when BAM! I hit the buy it now button, and it was gone.... |
